Job Overview
The Warehouse and Logistics Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all warehouse storage facilities and logistics operations comply with the company’s Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The role focuses on maintaining food safety, cold chain integrity, hygiene, and quality compliance across inbound, storage, and outbound logistics operations, including the control of quarantined and non-conforming products.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor warehouse operations to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, halal, and regulatory standards.

Conduct routine inspections of all warehouse facilities to assess hygiene, sanitation, temperature control, and allergen segregation.

Ensure effective pest control management across all warehouse premises.

Monitor and control non-conforming and quarantined products, ensuring proper segregation and release only after approval.

Monitor inbound and outbound product movements to ensure compliance with food safety and cold chain requirements.

Inspect delivery vehicles for hygiene, cleanliness, temperature suitability, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Conduct random inspections of loading activities to ensure safe food handling and temperature control.

Inspect incoming shipments for product condition, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy.

Perform final quality checks prior to dispatch, including packaging, labeling, pallet condition, vehicle condition, and installation of temperature tracking devices.

Inspect returned products from the market and prepare Goods Return Verification (GRV) reports.

Address and close audit findings from third-party, customer, and municipality audits in a timely manner.

Conduct audits of third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and submit recommendations to the Quality Manager.

Train warehouse and logistics teams on food safety, hygiene, and quality requirements.

Assess staff compliance with food handler cards, personal hygiene standards, PPE usage, and disease control requirements.

Work closely with warehouse, inventory, production, procurement, logistics, customer service, and material inspection teams to ensure smooth quality operations.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Food Technology, or a related postgraduate degree.

2–4 years of experience in FMCG, frozen food, warehouse, or logistics environments.

Knowledge of frozen food warehouses and logistics operations.

Familiarity with frozen meat, poultry, and seafood products.

Understanding of Quality Management Systems, Food Safety standards, Halal requirements, and BRC standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to deliver training to warehouse and logistics staff.

Strong attention to detail, inspection, and reporting skills.
-
Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
