Job Summary
IIQAF is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and supporting our mission to provide top-quality education and training in the field of quality assurance and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect and stock incoming materials and products in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare orders and shipments for delivery to customers, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked and packaged
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Utilize inventory management software to track and monitor stock levels, orders and shipments
- Assist with maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and other team members to resolve any inventory or shipping related issues
- Participate in periodic audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations or a related field
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating machinery
- Knowledge of inventory management software and basic computer skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time
