Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced building supply store. The ideal candidate will be reliable, on time and ready to go, and self-motivated. You will also play a crucial role in helping ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to inventory control, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working/loading lumber and building supplies as well as helping customers find a solution to their questions.

Duties

Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, fork-lift and skid-steer, to facilitate the movement of goods.
Perform picking and loading of products accurately to fulfill customer orders.
Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting regular counts and updates in the inventory system.
Ensure that all new inventory gets put away in its appropriate place.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized warehouse/store environment.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with the operation of our equipment.

Skills

Experience operating various equipment, particularly pallet jacks, fork-lifts, and skid-steers is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail in inventory control processes.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within a retail setting.
Basic knowledge of lumber sizes and building products.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
