Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm – Monday to Friday

Company: WorkSpace Moving Solutions

Location: Durham, North Carolina

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting the daily needs of warehousing. The oversimplified role often consists of brining the inventory items in, digitally capturing them (data entry + detailed photos), organizing them, sending them out, and communicating clearly, extensively, and effectively with our team and customers during every step.

The warehouse team’s goal is to perform at a higher level of excellence both digitally and physically than many 3PL warehouses. The majority of client product that we hold is laboratory related (has FDA needs). Our WorkSpace team uses a very thorough FDA-grade inventory software that tracks all product in the warehouse in great detail. The whole WorkSpace team cleans the warehouse regularly and seeks to maximize rack space and keep the floor open. We rearrange product in the racking manually, and often use pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other lifts. We stage, label, and rope off items, rearrange the product constantly, and run self-audits.

This associate position is here to propel the manual, physical organization of the warehouse, and ensure good communication with how we digitally track and present our product to the customer. The warehouse team works very closely with the operations moving crews to prepare for space needs, keep track of the order progress (notifying the coordinator what we still are waiting to receive for each order). Things move fast and the warehouse team is always trying to be prepared for major space needs coming up very quickly. We strive to work hard and communicate effectively.
