Warehouse Associate - Stocker Receiving Department

The job duties of a Stocker in the Receiving Department include:

Unloading Trucks/Containers

There can be up to 2000 loose boxes in a container that must be hand unloaded sorted by item number and stacked on pallets. Each box can weigh 5 to 40lbs depending on the item.

Receiving/counting Purchase Orders

Team member is given the purchase order/receiving ticket along with the boxes of the items that were delivered. They are responsible for counting the items in the boxes, recording the count on the receiving ticket. Once the count is completed, they are required to place UPC labels on the items (if required) and mark the master cartons with the item code and pick location, once the full process is complete, they place the goods in the staging area and return the completed receiving ticket to the receiving manager.

Inventory Stocking

Team member will be directed to take stock from the staging area and place in the picking bin location

Other Duties as assigned by management.

Although all team members have a main job function, management reserves the right to assign any team member to any warehouse task as necessary.

  • They must be able to lift 40lbs on a consistent basis
  • They must be able to work in temperatures as low at 50 degrees and as high as 80 degrees (warehouse is not temperature controlled).
  • They must be able to read and write English
  • They must be able to do basic math

Hourly Rate for a Warehouse Stocker is $16.50 to $17.00 starting hourly pay depending on experience. Raise to $18.00 hourly after 90-Days of employment demonstrating the ability to perform the job functions successfully.
