WAREHOUSE Clerk/Lumper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Warehouse/Lumper

Starting rate based on experience.

Loading/Unloading: Manually loading or unloading trailers, containers, and truck.

Freight Handling: Breaking down, palletizing, sorting, and scanning freight.

Site Sanitation: Cleaning trailers and cleaning up loading dock areas.

Inventory & Inspection: Inspecting damaged goods, verifying shipment accuracy, and documenting shortages/damages.

Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined location codes.

Assembles customer fulfillment orders from stock and packages orders for shipping.

Marks materials with identifying information.

Opens crates and other containers Records parts or items received or shipped meeting MPR one hour dock to stock standards.

Uses inventory system to enter inbounds into computer.

Completes requisition forms to order supplies from Warehouse Lead.

Prepares parcels for mailing and produces shipping labels via UPS Wordship as well as USPS postage machine. Usage of web necessary to produce Fed Ex and Yellow Freight shipping documents.

Maintains inventory records. Performs cycle counts.

Controls security access to warehouse and maintains a clean and orderly warehouse.

Education & Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or MPR employees.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software’ Inventory software; Spreadsheet software; and Microsoft Word.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ability to obtain all required certifications, badging and licensing required by MPR, customers, vendors, and TSA. Ability to become forklift certified.

Other Skills and Abilities - Be able to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, electric pallet jack, forklift shrink-wrap machines. etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
