Warehouse Helpers

A warehouse worker is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory within a warehouse or distribution center. Key duties include operating material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), maintaining inventory accuracy through system updates, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, scan, and label orders for shipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Receiving & Storing: Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damage/accuracy, and securely store items in designated areas.
  • Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts, manage stock rotation, and report inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring routine maintenance is followed.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all health, safety, and security regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

Requirements & Skills

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy items (often up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in picking orders and scanning, labeling, or counting inventory.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld scanners, or forklift certification is often preferred.
  • Teamwork: Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
