About the Role
The Warehouse Logistics Manager oversees warehouse operations for our inbound and outbound finished goods fulfillment. This role oversees transportation logistics, inventory management, and vendor relationships, with a strong focus on product integrity, food safety, and timely fulfillment. Working closely with production and fulfillment teams, this position ensures accurate order processing, proper storage, and on-time deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Fulfillment Coordination
- Work closely with the teams to manage the inbound receipt, storage, order staging, palletizing, and dispatch of finished products while tracking all productivity data.
- Plan, coordinate, and dispatch of goods, including inbound materials and outbound finished products.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound and outbound fulfillment activities.
- Create and manage a delivery/pickup appointment structure within multiple warehouses.
- Create and validate all the necessary paperwork required for receiving and deliveries, to ensure accurate documentation and efficient information flow.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Organize fulfillment warehouse finished goods inventory and monitor inventory levels daily.
- Manage all incoming purchase orders and sales orders for 3PL warehouses and wholesale accounts.
- Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of inventory records.
- Develop and optimize warehouse layout to improve product flow, space utilization, cost efficiency, and service levels.
Transportation & Freight Management
- Oversee transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of delivery trucks.
- Own relationships with all freight vendors, including negotiating rates and managing contracts.
- Analyze freight costs to identify inefficiencies or service failures and implement actionable strategies for improvement.
Compliance, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Generate and analyze performance reports to drive operational improvements and cost savings.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and transportation functions.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fulfillment accuracy, on-time delivery, freight spend, and warehouse productivity.
Staff & Vendor Management
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff to meet operational goals.
- Foster collaboration across departments and with external logistics providers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Note: This role requires spending approximately 40% of time on the floor in our refrigerated facility.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in warehouse and/or transportation management.
- CDL and/or certifications in logistics (e.g., APICS, CLTD) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and transportation systems.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Familiarity with NetSuite and SQL databases.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High level problem solving, strong math, and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential company information in the strictest of confidence
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work flexible schedules based on operational needs, including varied or extended hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to regularly travel to Third Party Warehouse in Redding, CA.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
