The Warehouse Manager will oversee operations across multiple sites along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and may also provide support to our Canadian warehouse. All facilities are newly constructed and climate-controlled, offering a comfortable and modern work environment. Previous warehouse management experience is required, along with proficiency in warehouse management software and scanning systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages customer order fulfillment standards including packaging requirements, on-time shipments, and unit fill-rate.
  • Responsible for quality control of the department; checks to make sure that the correct items and quantities were pulled, packed, and shipped to standard.
  • Assists with the international shipping and receiving process.
  • Monitors individual and team productivity; drives continuous productivity improvement and one on one coaching.
  • Researches and resolves pick and ship reported errors; addresses the root cause; recommends and implements improvements in products, packaging, shipping, service or billing methods to prevent future occurrence.
  • Leads the inventory counting process; ensures efficient and accurate counts are completed by the warehouse team.
  • Interviews and selects qualified candidates for the department; provides training, onboarding, and ongoing support to ensure the success of new hires.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to employees in a consistent and constructive manner.
  • Addresses employee conduct or performance problems in a fair and consistent manner; conducts performance evaluations.
  • Effectively communicates with employees, peers, and management to provide a more efficient operation.
  • Assists the warehouse team with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with department and OSHA standards.
  • Monitors associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
  • Maintains shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports as needed.
  • Improves warehouse work processes through strategic planning to create a more efficient fulfillment system.
  • Oversees warehouse bin management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to lead others and give feedback as needed.
  • Must have superb attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Ability to work cohesively with a variety of people.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks, ensure accuracy and efficiency, and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Must be adaptable and able to do work that requires frequent shifts in direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and data entry software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, management, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership in a warehouse environment required; experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple locations preferred.
  • Experience with various warehouse technology platforms required.
  • Experience with international shipping and receiving required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop crouch, and stack as needed.
  • Ability to traverse the warehouse floor.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to travel to other company locations including Canada.
