Warehouse Manager

A FMCG manufacturer are seeking a Warehouse Manager to koin thier supply chain team. As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, driving operational efficiency, and contributing to the company's reputation as a leader in the packaging industry. Salary

Salary £45,000 to £50,000 plus Benefits

What You Will Do

• Champion and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all warehouse activities align with established safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS), conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Oversee the receiving of goods from suppliers, ensuring timely unloading, inspection, and storage.
• Manage shipping operations to guarantee on-time delivery to customers and internal departments, while ensuring all shipping documentation complies with regulations.
• Analyse current warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance space utilisation.
• Coordinate waste management activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and exploring reusable packaging streams with suppliers and customers.

What You Will Bring

• A proven track record of managing warehouse or supply chain operations, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software, such as SAP or Syteline.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to work cross-functionally at all levels.
• Experience in people management and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with lean principles and an understanding of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and Incoterms.

Location

Based in Slough, this role requires on-site presence five days a week.
