Warehouse Manager

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is a non-profit organization that has been in business for 25+ years. Our mission is to serve as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana. Our vision is to ultimately end hunger in Northwest Louisiana by ensuring a consolidated network of effective food collection and distribution which will provide universal access to food for the needy in our community.

Reports to:

• Primary- Director of Operations
• Secondary - Executive Director

Hours:

• Monday - Friday/7:00 - 3:30/Occasional evenings and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage warehouse teams and activities.
• Maintain the warehouse organization and insure all items are identified and marked correctly.
• Respond to food bank drivers and agency needs throughout the day.
• Verify product leaving the warehouse using the agency order and ensuring a signed copy is received when the agency picks up or a driver delivers an order.
• Monitor deliveries to eliminate waste of time and resources.
• Validate all inventory is being correctly rotated in accordance with inventory procedures and processes.
• Follow all appropriate procedures for shipping, receiving and local deliveries.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will have 7+ years of experience as a warehouse supervisor with shipping and receiving experience. The Warehouse Manager must be proficient in WMS, ERP and basic warehouse equipment. The perfect candidate will be able to come in and learn the systems and make the necessary improvements to take us to the next level. They must also have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, constituents and supporters.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
