Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations supporting 10 Tanker Air Carrier’s aerial firefighting fleet. This role is responsible for maintaining proper control, distribution, and accountability of aircraft parts, tooling, and materials across multiple locations. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, leadership, and flexibility to respond quickly to operational needs, including travel on short notice to support aircraft maintenance or fire-season deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with FAA,
company, and safety regulations.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of aircraft parts, tooling, and
consumables.
- Coordinate shipment and logistics for aircraft parts and tooling to and from maintenance bases
and field operations.
- Help Maintain proper inventory levels through cycle counts, reconciliation, and accurate data
entry in the company’s ERP system.
- Supervise and train warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety
standards.
- Collaborate with the Materials and Maintenance departments to ensure timely support for
scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
- Support deployment of tooling and inventory during fire-season mobilizations, including
short-notice travel to domestic and international bases as needed.
- Manage warehouse vehicles, equipment, and facility upkeep to maintain operational
readiness.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or materials management experience (aviation experience
preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and ERP systems.
- FAA Part 145 / 121 support experience preferred.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel on short notice, including weekends or
extended periods during the fire season.
Work Conditions
- Primarily based at 10 Tanker’s Albuquerque headquarters, with regular coordination across multiple warehouses and field locations.
- Travel required on short notice to support maintenance operations, aircraft redeployments, and emergency response activities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment, and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
