Job Summary
Our client are seeking an experienced and strategic Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations within our supply chain and logistics network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing processes, leading a team of warehouse staff, and ensuring efficient transportation and distribution activities. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies to support organizational growth and operational excellence.
Duties
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Oversee procurement, purchasing, and materials management to ensure timely availability of stock.
- Implement process improvements utilizing Lean principles and supply chain analytics to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and AS400 platforms for inventory tracking, demand planning, and operations management.
- Oversee fleet management, dispatching, and transportation management systems to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Conduct budgeting, demand planning, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse distribution protocols.
- Supervise staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on purchasing strategies and materials management to optimize inventory levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (including AS400), transportation management systems, and supply chain analytics tools.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with inventory control, production planning, procurement, and logistics coordination.
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications or training in forklift operation are preferred but not mandatory.
