Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily serving the greater Twin Cities, empowers people to thrive in their homes by providing quality furniture and household goods for those pursuing housing stability. Since 1987, Bridging has served more than more than 110,000 households and currently operates out of three locations – Bloomington, Plymouth, and Roseville. Driven by nearly 4,000 volunteers each year and donations from the community, we provide a basic home essentials set up to more than 5,000 homes every year. On average, Bridging redistributes 15 semi-loads of donated furniture and household goods to more than 100 households (300 people) each week. Through financial and inventory support from individuals, businesses, and our local partners, Bridging continues to bring hope and stability to thousands of households in need.

POSITION SUMMARY

Bridging is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize daily operations of our Roseville warehouse. This role is mission-critical in driving efficient, client-centered warehouse operations and requires strong leadership, operational management, and logistics strategy. The Warehouse Manager leads a team of staff and volunteers in receiving, storing, and staging donated goods as well as coordinating the delivery of furniture and household items to clients. Additionally, this role oversees Roseville’s fee-based pickups, manages scheduling and logistics related to corporate donation pick-ups, and ensures timely and professional communication with donors and community partners. Coordinates regularly across departments to ensure seamless workflow, quality service delivery, and effective donor and partner engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operations:

  • Maintain overall organization and operations of the warehouse.
  • Oversee warehouse and driving safety practices and training amongst staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure strong customer service to clients, donors, partners, and volunteers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure quality and efficiency of warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with volunteer and strategic partnership teams to ensure quality oversight and support of individual and group volunteers in the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to manage the Bridging leased vehicle fleet.
  • Monitor budget and manage spending related to warehouse operations

Leadership and Team Supervision

  • Hire and onboard new warehouse team members.
  • Oversee team training and development.
  • Set clear objectives, delegate work, and manage performance.
  • Communicate key organizational information to warehouse staff.
  • Develop leadership of Assistant Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Floor Supervisor.

Inventory Management and Logistics:

  • Ensure tracking, organization, quality, and oversight of warehouse inventory.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on key logistics and warehouse metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure smooth flow of items and to align warehouse operations to organizational needs.
  • Manage efficient routing of Bridging trucks and effective implementation of donation pick-ups and client deliveries.

Program and Services Department Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Program and Services colleagues to ensure seamless service provision to clients.
  • Coordinate with Volunteer Services and Client Services on meeting client pick-up and delivery needs.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Collaborate with other Bridging warehouse staff to ensure consistency of service and operations quality across warehouses.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a warehouse setting, at least two in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
  • Proven leader with ability to motivate teams through change.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry 70 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and insurance, and reliable transportation

Additional Requirements:

  • Capable of safely operating 26-foot dock-level straight trucks
  • Pass DOT medical exam and obtain a minimum of a one-year certification
  • Pass a drug screen, including marijuana due to federal law
  • Forklift certification, training provided by Bridging if necessary
  • CPR/AED certified, training provided by Bridging if necessary
  • Regular attendance, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Reliable internet outside of working environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Location:

This position is based out of Bridging’s Roseville location. However, occasional travel will occur within the Twin Cities metro area, including to Bridging’s locations in Bloomington and Plymouth.

Other Information:

Hiring range is $65,000-$75,000. This is a full-time (40+ hours/week), exempt position with a strong benefits package; including: medical (80% employer-paid premium including several plans to choose from), dental (individual premium covered at 100%), basic life (covered 100% by employer), voluntary life insurance, Vision, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings account, Employee Assistance Program, Volunteer Time Off, professional development dollars, clothing allowance, shoe/glove reimbursement, cell phone reimbursement, retirement plan with (current up to 4%) employer match, generous PTO accrual and 12 paid holidays.
