Job Summary
Covid Audio Visual, a 40-year-old Tempe-based manufacturer of professional AV connectivity products, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee and lead all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and on-time order fulfillment to support both production and customer requirements. The Warehouse Manager leads warehouse personnel, establishes operational standards, and drives continuous improvement across all warehouse functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping
- Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse staff, including setting expectations, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring performance
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting programs, reconciliation processes, and proper ERP usage (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Establish and maintain efficient warehouse layout, organization, and material flow to support production and order fulfillment
- Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, and customer service to ensure alignment of materials and shipping priorities
- Oversee inbound receiving processes to ensure materials are accurately received, inspected, and recorded
- Negotiate and manage freight rates and carrier relationships to ensure cost-effective and reliable shipping solutions
- Oversee domestic and international shipments, including preparation of shipping documentation, coordination with carriers and brokers, and ensuring compliance with export requirements
- Develop, implement, and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize space utilization
- Monitor key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, and order accuracy
Experience
- 5+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 2–3 years in a management role
- 3+ years of experience with shipping platforms such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in inventory control, shipping, and receiving within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred)
- Familiarity with LTL freight, freight carriers, and rate negotiation
- Experience with international shipping, export documentation, and coordination with freight forwarders or customs brokers preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certified
