WAREHOUSE MANUAL PALLET SORTER

Pay Structure:

• Training Period: Employees will be paid $16.50 per hour during a one-week training period.
• After Training: Compensation will transition to a piece-rate system of $1.00 per pallet repaired.
• Productivity Expectation: Workers typically repair a minimum of 200 pallets per day.
• Earning Potential: Employees may stay beyond standard hours to repair additional pallets and increase their earnings.

Job description:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a labor-intensive position. It requires continuous physical exertion, heavy lifting, and manual handling of materials throughout the entire shift. Please only apply if you are comfortable with a physically demanding workflow.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manual Sorter, your daily duties will include:

· Pallet Breakdown: Manually stripping shrink wrap and banding from returned pallets and removing boxes or loose items.

· Heavy Lifting: Repeatedly lifting, stacking, and moving empty pallets.

· Staging & Re-Palletizing: Re-building pallets with sorted goods, ensuring they are stacked securely and wrapped for transport.

· Waste Management: Breaking down cardboard, separating plastics, and operating trash compactors or balers (training provided).

· Workspace Maintenance: Keeping the sorting zone clean and free of debris to ensure safety.

Physical Requirements (Must Read)

To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to perform the following physical tasks for the duration of an 8 hour shift:

· Continuous Standing: Standing and walking on concrete floors for the entire shift (except breaks).

· Heavy Load Handling: Ability to lift 65lbs assisted repeatedly, and team-lift heavier items.

· Pace: Ability to maintain a high sort-rate in a fast-paced environment.

Skills / Qualifications

· Ability to memorize and apply product specifications.

· Previous experience in heavy warehousing, or general labor is highly preferred.

· Strong work ethic and reliability—we need team members who show up on time and ready to work.

· Attention to detail to ensure items are sorted into the correct categories.

· Ability to follow safety protocols and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, gloves, and vests.

Responsabilidades Clave

Como Clasificador Manual, sus deberes diarios incluirán:

• Desmontaje de Tarimas: Retirar manualmente la envoltura retráctil (plástico/shrink wrap) y las bandas de las tarimas devueltas y retirar cajas o artículos sueltos.
• Levantamiento Pesado: Levantar, apilar y mover repetidamente tarimas vacías.
• Organización y Re-paletizado: Reconstruir tarimas con productos clasificados, asegurando que estén apilados de manera segura y envueltos para el transporte.
• Gestión de Residuos: Deshacer cartón, separar plásticos y operar compactadores de basura o empacadoras (se ofrece capacitación).
• Mantenimiento del Área de Trabajo: Mantener la zona de clasificación limpia y libre de escombros para garantizar la seguridad.

Requisitos Físicos (Lectura Obligatoria)

Para tener éxito en este puesto, los candidatos deben ser capaces de realizar las siguientes tareas físicas durante un turno de 8 horas:

• Estar de Pie Continuamente: Estar de pie y caminar sobre pisos de concreto durante todo el turno (excepto en los descansos).
• Manejo de Cargas Pesadas: Capacidad para levantar 65 libras (aprox. 30 kg) con asistencia repetidamente, y levantar artículos más pesados en equipo.
• Ritmo: Capacidad para mantener una alta velocidad de clasificación en un entorno de ritmo rápido.

Habilidades / Calificaciones

• Capacidad para memorizar y aplicar especificaciones de productos.
• Se prefiere encarecidamente experiencia previa en almacenes de trabajo pesado o mano de obra general.
• Fuerte ética de trabajo y confiabilidad: necesitamos miembros del equipo que lleguen a tiempo y listos para trabajar.
• Atención al detalle para asegurar que los artículos se clasifiquen en las categorías correctas.
• Capacidad para seguir protocolos de seguridad y usar Equipo de Protección Personal (PPE) como botas con punta de acero, guantes y chalecos.
• Debe tener al menos 18 años de edad.
