Warehouse Material Controller

Job Description:
We are seeking a technically competent and detail focused Warehouse Material Controller with a Mechanical Engineering background to manage material control, local purchasing documentation, and coordination between warehouse, production, procurement, and finance teams.

The role requires strong understanding of steel materials, hydraulic components, electrical items, fabrication parts, seals, fasteners, and industrial spare parts used in hydraulic presses, dock equipment, industrial doors, and related products.

The position ensures accurate stock handling, proper ERP documentation, and smooth material flow to support manufacturing and service operations.

1. Inventory Receiving and Technical Verification

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Technically check steel sections, pipes, rods, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, seals, electrical components, control items, fasteners, and spare parts for accuracy and specifications.
  • Prepare and post Material Receiving Notes (MRN) in ERP.
  • Store materials properly according to location coding and material type.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, incorrect specifications, or damaged goods immediately.

2. Material Issuance and Production Support

  • Process Material Request Forms (MRF) and issue materials after proper authorization.
  • Ensure all issued materials are signed by requestors and recorded in ERP.
  • Coordinate service jobs such as rod cutting, tube preparation, and material preparation for fabrication.
  • Hand over steel materials, hydraulic components, seals, and spare parts to CNC and fabrication sections.
  • Monitor minimum stock levels for critical mechanical and electrical spare parts.

3. Local Purchase and Documentation Control

  • Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) for approved local purchases.
  • Coordinate with procurement to create new technical items in ERP before PO issuance.
  • Ensure correct technical description of parts, including dimensions, grade, type, and application.
  • Submit complete documentation to accounts, including PO, MRN, and supplier invoice.
  • Follow up with accounts to close local purchase transactions properly.

4. Stock Control and Compliance

  • Assist in periodic physical stock counts and audits.
  • Ensure proper classification of steel grades, hydraulic parts, electrical items, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and organized warehouse structure.
  • Follow company procedures for inventory control and internal compliance.

5. Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics for technical clarifications when needed.
  • Work closely with production engineers, service teams, procurement, and finance.
  • Perform additional operational tasks as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Manager, or COO.

6. Qualifications:

· Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Technology

· Strong understanding of steel materials, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and industrial spare parts

· Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing warehouse

· Ability to read basic technical drawings and material specifications

· Experience working with ERP systems, FOCUS preferred

· High accuracy, discipline, and organizational skills

· Basic English reading skills required for technical descriptions and supplier documentation

Pay: From ﷼2,500.00 per month
