WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS CLERK

Requirements

Must have high school diploma.

Must have the ability to take suggestions, directions, and coaching relative to procedures and policies as outlined by the Buildings and Grounds Department.

Experience and proficiency utilizing computer software/Google; must have proven positive customer service skills with the ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple activities; problem solving skills; ability to plan and anticipate needs; ability to work under high pressure and within tight deadlines; ability to work under stress in a professional and courteous manner; ability to work independently.

Excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading skills and the ability to produce accurate and error-free documents; excellent oral and written composition skills; proven filing, calculator and telephone skills; proficient use of contemporary office equipment; ability to understand and follow written instructions; ability to sit and stand for long periods of time; ability to work flexible hours; experience in secretarial functions and in working with teachers, administrators, support personnel, and students; highest degree of confidentiality.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push carts loaded with equipment or materials, and use proper methods to move materials in the Warehouse area.

Must be able to work in seasonal temperature variations.

Description
ANTICIPATED OPENING - Warehouse Operations Clerk needed to coordinate and complete the warehouse receiving process, manage supplies, and to provide assistance to both central office and field staff personnel. To assist in effective and efficient office operations and the coordination of projects and activities, which involve the Building and Grounds Department. This role Successful management of inventory, coordinating deliveries, processing packages, and ensuring the accuracy of all warehouse operations. The Warehouse Operations Clerk will also work closely with vendors, supervisors, and job coaches to enhance operational efficiency and provide opportunities for students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities
  • Coordinate schedules for deliveries and manage delivery of physical support equipment.
  • Create and manage pick lists.
  • Work with vendors to arrange and confirm deliveries.
  • Ensure effective and efficient warehouse operations by receiving, verifying and organizing materials for delivery to internal office and field staff personnel; deliver materials when necessary.
  • Provide training and support to job coaches and students involved in warehouse operations.
  • Work with supervisors and job coaches to create opportunities for students within the warehouse.
2. Warehouse Inventory Responsibilities
  • Monitor and inventory supplies stored in the warehouse
  • Coordinate the replenishing process and complete supply requests by internal office and field staff personnel.
  • Manage and track all warehouse assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and other warehouse-related activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of data in all record-keeping tasks
  • Collaborate with supervisors to determine desired supplies and quantities.
3. Office Duties and Responsibilities
  • To ensure effective and efficient office operations by maintaining confidentiality; providing quality work; improve process efficiency; maintain work area; participate in the work sharing process; assume additional responsibilities; attend office trainings; extend courtesies to staff and visitors; follow IU policies and procedures; be an integral part of the Intermediate Unit’s vision and mission by working as a team member, contributing to and achieving department goals, updating supervisor(s) and team members on potential opportunities.
4. Professional Contributions
  • To make professional contributions to the achievement of all Intermediate Unit and department goals in support of the vision and mission of the Intermediate Unit, making recommendations for improving warehouse operations.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds and Supervisor of Technology. Assist with effective and efficient office operations by providing back-up switchboard/reception area coverage with phones; back-up coverage for mail posting and assistance to other work areas.
2. Demonstrate cooperative attitude with employees and staff.
