Warehouse Operative

Overview
Hands-on warehouse role responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods to ensure accurate, timely order fulfilment and safe warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries; check goods against delivery notes and report discrepancies.
• Unload/load vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Pick and pack orders accurately according to packing lists and quality standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand truck); forklift operation preferred if certified.
• Label, sort, and store stock in designated locations; maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with stocktakes; update inventory systems.
• Prepare goods for dispatch and coordinate with couriers/drivers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area; follow health & safety procedures.
• Report damaged goods, shortages, and equipment faults to supervisors.
• Assist with miscellaneous warehouse tasks and occasional overtime during peak periods.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, logistics, or manual handling experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift/move up to [e.g., 20–25 kg] and stand for extended periods.
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail for accurate picking and packing.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and safety rules.
• Right to work in [country/region]; background check if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO25.200 - RO28.200 per hour
