The Production Planner is a key member of the manufacturing operational plant team. The Planner is accountable for planning and monitoring the status of orders across the departments in the pursuit of on-time delivery of finished goods and components to our customers.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Creating, reviewing, and coordinating production schedules to utilize workforce and resources in the most effective manner.
- Reporting lead times/order status for internal customer requests daily.
- Start to finish documentation and process stock to assure accurate inventory.
- Reviews demand and produce orders/recommends workflow plan accordingly to meet production schedule, ensuring OTD.
- Participates in formulating recommendations to improve production methods, equipment/tooling performance and product quality, as well as improvements for working conditions, the workforce and overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participates in promoting teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to by Management
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand drawing/print specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of capacity planning and order scheduling.
- Must have strong decision-making skills that are supported by data collection, data analysis, and statistical process control expertise.
- Must have good mechanical knowledge, hands on skills, and computer skills.
- Preferred experience with Lean techniques including Six Sigma
- Management or a related field experience beneficial.
- Experience in manufacturing or related field beneficial
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, carry, push and or pull 1-50 lbs., occasionally.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand and/or walk for 10 hours per day.
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
Work Site Environment:
- Ability to work in a 55–85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
Payrate: $17.00 + Benefits:
