Warehouse Receiver/Stocker

POSITION VISION
Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, picking and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

QUALITATIVE POSITION OBJECTIVES
1. When receiving inbound loads from suppliers, each pallet is recorded and checked in properly thru WMS.
2. Placing WMS labels with proper code dates on each pallet in designated area on each pallet
3. Always ensures proper rotation maintained in warehouse and pick area.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS
1. Uphold customer service philosophy and uphold WBD standards while executing business activities.
2. Strive to build and maintain favorable reputation of WBD to fulfill the vision of being the Preferred Supplier with our customers.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Education:
  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED Must be able to read, write and comprehend English and have basic math skills

  • Minimum: Must be certified in forklift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and floor scrubber

• Experience:
  • Minimum: Warehouse and forklift experience and material handling
  • Preferred: Experience in material handling or beverage distribution

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack, 1 case of can (21 pounds), 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds), 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds) and½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground; stand; use hands to finger, handle and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
All work is performed inside the confines of the warehouse except for pulling trucks in and out of the warehouse. Exposure to broken glass and diesel fumes.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Preferred a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier. This person will be required to job share responsibilities and fill in for delivery assistant/helper as needed.
