About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Shipping Manager to lead outbound operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring our products are shipped accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with food safety standards.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on the floor, enjoys solving problems in real time, and brings modern logistics experience including barcode scanning systems, 3PL partnerships, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to drive performance and visibility.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and optimize all daily shipping operations (picking, staging, loading, dispatch)
• Drive on-time delivery, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction
• Manage relationships with 3PL providers and external carriers
• Utilize barcode scanning and WMS systems to improve inventory and shipping accuracy
• Leverage TMS platforms for routing, tracking, and freight cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF food safety standards
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing shipping team
• Monitor and improve KPIs including on-time shipments, accuracy, and cost efficiency
• Partner cross-functionally with production, warehouse, and quality teams

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading shipping operations in manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with barcode scanning systems and warehouse technology
• Experience working with 3PLs and transportation providers
• Familiarity with TMS systems and logistics optimization
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop teams
• Knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards
• A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and accountability
