Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: verifying incoming inventory against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies such as damages, shortages or overages; stowing inventory in prescribed storage locations to include stacking and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; relocating inventory as required; inventorying on hand stock; picking inventory from storage location; packaging inventory in preparation for shipment, and entering pick/packs in NESSS.

Requirement:

  • Must have 2-3 years experience in a warehouse.
  • Previous forklift experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The ability to learn additional software programs specifically, NAVAL & SUPPLY SUPPORT SYSTEM (NESSS), COGNOS, and FEDLOG.
  • One year of experience in direct support in a logistics and supply warehousing environment.
  • Three years of experience operating standard material handling equipment to include forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrap, metal strapping equipment and scales at a minimum.
  • Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance which includes a credit check.
  • If you are a male you must have registered for Selective Service.

Hours:

  • 2:30pm-11pm

Monday Through Friday 2:30 pm to 11 pm
