Warehouse Specialist

HL URIMAN is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist for our Union City plant. This hands-on role is central to our operational success — ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting import/export logistics and facility upkeep, and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Position Overview

  • Title: Warehouse Specialist
  • Department: SCM Planning Team
  • Location: Union City, CA (33201 Dowe Ave, Union City, CA 94587)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Execute cycle counts, reconcile variances, submit accurate on-hand inventory quantities to the customer’s portal on a weekly basis, manage obsolete inventory, and handle purchasing of consumable materials.
  • Import/Export & Customs: Process ISF submissions, review arrival notices and freight/shipping invoices, and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers for timely clearance.
  • Supplier & Customer Coordination: Manage part releases and purchase orders, verify and reconcile inbound quantities, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with domestic and international partners.
  • Sourcing & Procurement: Identify and qualify new suppliers and negotiate unit pricing and terms to support cost competitiveness and reliable supply.
  • Invoice & Accounting Coordination: Review vendor invoices, route them through the internal approval workflow, and coordinate with the Accounting team for timely processing.
  • Packaging & Yard Coordination: Oversee pallet/dunnage inventory, coordinate trailer swaps, and monitor trailer dwell counts for customer reporting.
  • Facility & Safety: Maintain docks and doors to keep operations running and the warehouse secure (including ensuring all doors are closed and locked at shutdown); manage Preventive Maintenance schedules for production equipment; and coordinate with external facility/property-management vendors on service scheduling and budgets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement (Lean) initiatives and perform other duties as assigned to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 2+ years of experience in SCM, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Basic understanding of ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to communicate effectively in English across global stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a hands-on mindset — comfortable with physical, on-the-floor warehouse work.
  • Flexible and adaptable; willing to take on a broad range of tasks beyond those formally listed to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Physical ability to perform material-handling tasks — standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting/moving heavy objects (up to 60 lbs) throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Korean language proficiency.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
