Reports to: Distribution Center Manager
The Lead Warehouse Trainer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of warehouse operations. This position is responsible for training new and existing team members on proper handling, movement, and storage of heavy materials—including wooden cabinets weighing up to 150 lbs. The Trainer will also support the Distribution Center Manager in daily operations, meeting productivity goals, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Train warehouse team members on safe lifting techniques, equipment usage, and operational procedures.
- Support onboarding and ongoing training for new hires and cross-training for existing staff.
- Monitor and reinforce safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard awareness.
- Assist the Distribution Center Manager in achieving productivity, quality, and safety goals.
- Assist the Distribution Center Manager in daily and weekly reporting.
- Lead by example in performing labor-intensive tasks, including lifting, moving, and staging heavy cabinets.
- Maintain training documentation and track team member progress.
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify training needs and performance gaps.
- Support warehouse operations in all weather conditions—rain, snow, cold, and heat.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to operational excellence.

This role operates in a non climate controlled warehouse and outdoor environment. Exposure to loud noise, heavy lifting, and extreme weather conditions is expected.
- Must be able to team lift and move items up to 150 lbs regularly
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- 3+ years in a warehouse or distribution center role leading teams
- Experience in training and team leadership
- Familiarity with building materials or cabinet handling a plus
