Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator

Wright Steel and Service is a locally owned company seeking a Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operator who is responsible for maintaining the warehouse facility, loading/unloading trucks and general warehouse duties.

First Shift position Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm at our Evansville, Indiana location. No weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming/outgoing shipments, verifying the accuracy of orders and ensuring there is no damage.
• Ensure order are cut to the correct length.
• Prepare or pre-stage orders for shipment according to customer specifications as well as pulling samples and return orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Ensure all products are stored in the correct locations and organized in a manner that optimizes space and accessibility.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Must be able to read read Tape Measure efficiently.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure paperwork and shipments are accurate.
• Various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read a Tape Measure efficiently.
• Willing to work in heat and cold.
• 3+ years experience as a forklift operator.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator and warehouse worker.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
