Waste Management Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Waste Management Supervisor to oversee daily waste collection, segregation, transportation, recycling, and disposal activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and company procedures while managing operational teams and resources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily waste management operations, including collection, segregation, transportation, recycling, and disposal activities.
• Monitor workforce performance and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate waste collection schedules, vehicle movements, and manpower deployment.
• Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations, company policies, and HSE requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and identify opportunities to improve waste management processes.
• Maintain accurate records of waste quantities, disposal activities, equipment utilization, and operational reports.
• Monitor waste segregation practices to maximize recycling and resource recovery.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal departments as required.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of waste management equipment and vehicles.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on-the-job training for staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in waste management, environmental services, sanitation, or related operations.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing operational teams.
• Knowledge of waste handling, recycling processes, environmental regulations, and HSE standards.
• Experience in municipal, industrial, commercial, or facility waste management operations is preferred.
