The Waste Profiler position will be responsible to handle, but is not limited to the following:

Understand Federal/State EPA requirements for hazardous waste management.

Understand DOT requirements for packaging and transporting hazardous materials.
-
Understand and manage chemicals based on physical and chemical properties for proper profile classification.

Prepare all necessary paperwork to submit and obtain approval of waste profiles.
-
Utilize profile management software to manage waste profile requests efficiently and accurately.
-
Complete all waste profile requests in allotted timeframe.
-
Work with Materials Management to profile into key strategic facilities.
-
Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
-
Assign proper product codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
-
Maintain and manage waste profile data.
-
Complete accurate data entry of waste profile information.
-
Perform other assignments as assigned by management.
Experience and Background
-
5+ years RCRA/DOT training & knowledge
-
Waste profiling portal use & knowledge (WM, Republic, CH, Veolia, etc)
-
Knowledge of hazardous & non-hazardous waste profiling
-
Understand waste manifesting, LDRs, and labeling
-
Familiarity with EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations
-
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Proficient Microsoft Suite user

Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen
