The Waste Profiler position will be responsible to handle, but is not limited to the following:

  • Understand Federal/State EPA requirements for hazardous waste management.
  • Understand DOT requirements for packaging and transporting hazardous materials.
  • Understand and manage chemicals based on physical and chemical properties for proper profile classification.
  • Prepare all necessary paperwork to submit and obtain approval of waste profiles.
  • Utilize profile management software to manage waste profile requests efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete all waste profile requests in allotted timeframe.
  • Work with Materials Management to profile into key strategic facilities.
  • Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
  • Assign proper product codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
  • Maintain and manage waste profile data.
  • Complete accurate data entry of waste profile information.
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by management.


Experience and Background

  • 5+ years RCRA/DOT training & knowledge
  • Waste profiling portal use & knowledge (WM, Republic, CH, Veolia, etc)
  • Knowledge of hazardous & non-hazardous waste profiling
  • Understand waste manifesting, LDRs, and labeling

  • Familiarity with EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Suite user
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen
  • Attention to detail
