Waste Services Coordinator

Overview:

Gotta Go Waste & Recycling is a leading regional provider of waste and recycling services in the Louisville metropolitan area. We are committed to delivering reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective waste solutions to commercial clients of all sizes. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, customer focused candidate to join our team as a Service Coordinator.

About the Role:

Service Coordinators are the vital link between our sales and operations departments, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both new and existing customers. You will manage the entire customer lifecycle, from onboarding new accounts to handling service requests and identifying opportunities for business growth. Serve as the voice of the customer, listening for ways that GGWR can improve and provide additional value.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Onboarding: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition for new customers. This includes setting up new accounts in our system, scheduling initial service delivery, and communicating all necessary information to stakeholders.
  • Customer Service & Support: Act as the main point of contact for all customer service inquiries, including scheduling changes, service issues, and general questions. Provide prompt, professional, and efficient support that build strong relationships. Communicate with drivers, contractors, and site supervisors to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Customer Education: Provide guidance on proper signage, waste segregation, recycling options, and container usage. Serve as an educational resource to help customers reach their operational and/or sustainability goals.
  • Operations Coordination: Communicate daily service needs and changes to the operations team. Proactively address any potential service issues and coordinate solutions to minimize disruption for the customer through proactive communication and creative problem solving.
  • Service Optimization: Analyze customer accounts to identify opportunities for adding new services or adjusting existing ones to ensure our service offering exceeds customer expectations.
  • Problem Resolution: Actively troubleshoot and resolve customer and operational issues. This includes coordinating operations, finance, and sales to bring issues to resolution.
  • Account Management: Maintain accurate and detailed customer records in our CRM system, including service history, communications, and special instructions.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on service metrics, customer feedback, and other key performance indicators to help improve overall efficiency.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in customer service, dispatch, or logistics coordination role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • knowledge of the waste management or recycling industry is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Waste management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Billing/Invoicing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • ERP systems: 1 year (Required)
  • CRM software: 1 year (Preferred)
