WASTE WATER SYSTEM SPECALIST
- Receives, stores, transfers and process bilge oily wastewater from vessel (submarine, swobs, ships, boats, etc.)
- Process bilge water (wastewater pretreatment process), storm water, process sludge, skimming oil, disposed dewatered sludge
- Ensure smooth operation of the BOWTS which includes responding to spills and assist as needed.
- Assist in performing eye wash Pm, pH Calibration, adjusts chemical dosage during bilge processing, documentations, logging on logbook, daily operation report (DOR), and other forms.
- Responsible for all assets of the BOWTS including vehicles, tools, equipment, and other properties of the client.
- Troubleshoot pumps, equipment as necessary to include BOWTS instruments.
- Prepares and checks receiving or ship’s documents.
- Connects lines, grounding wires, and loading and offloading arms or hoses to pipelines.
- Visually inspect all Gauges and level for oil tanks and bilge tank.
- Check pumping systems for correct operating pressure and unusual noises.
- Performs preventive maintenance and repair on terminal systems by lubricating the equipment, locks, cam locks, etc.
- Performs general housekeeping and grounds maintenance for terminal (risers), pipeline and dock areas: (Ensure housekeeping of the BOWTS: keeping the Berm clean and free of oil, dirt, debris, grease, etc., keep BOWTS in order, keeps the office and bathroom clean, keep storage neat and in order, maintain inventory of chemicals, equipment, annually tank cleaning, etc.).
- Adhere to Coast Guard Regulations (33CFR), EPA Regulations, and Safety Regulations. Participate in drills and trainings.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more)
- Must be able to operate a forklift, flatbed, pallet jacket and vacuum truck
- Perform corrosion control
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must have three (3) to four (4) years of related experience.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain First-Aid/CPR, Ladder Safety, Fall Protection, Facility Response Team member, and HAZWOPER, Forklift, and Respirator trainings and/or certifications.
- Must be able to accommodate shift work, adjusted work schedule, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays and on-call when needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
