Wastewater Field Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Wastewater Field Technician. This role involves hands-on work in wastewater treatment facilities, requiring technical expertise and physical endurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing wastewater treatment equipment, collecting data, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on water quality and environmental safety.

Duties

• Perform equipment repairs and routine maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of pumps, tanks, and heavy machinery
• Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, and system performance
• Operate heavy equipment such as tankers and construction machinery for site maintenance and upgrades
• Perform plumbing tasks related to system repairs and installations
• Assist in construction projects related to wastewater infrastructure improvements
• Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues or system malfunctions
• Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks required for site upkeep and equipment installation

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance
• Familiarity with water treatment processes and wastewater treatment standards
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Basic math skills for data analysis, measurements, and calculations
• Analytical skills to interpret system data and troubleshoot issues effectively
• Experience with tankers, plumbing, construction, or related fields is a plus
• Capacity for heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
• Good communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with team members

Pay: $30.01 - $40.12 per hour
