Job Summary
The Wastewater Removal Specialist is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible collection, transportation, and disposal of wastewater and related materials. This role focuses on the skilled operation of vacuum trucks, pump systems, and specialized tools to service septic tanks, grease traps, sewer lines, and industrial wastewater systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining public health and environmental compliance while providing top-tier service to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate vacuum trucks, jetters, and specialized wastewater removal equipment.
- Service Delivery: Perform scheduled and emergency pumping of septic systems, holding tanks, grease traps, and stormwater systems.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly follow local, state, and federal regulations for waste containment and disposal. Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Maintenance & Documentation: Conduct daily equipment inspections and minor repairs. Maintain accurate service logs, disposal records, and regulatory paperwork.
- Teamwork & Communication: Coordinate effectively with customers and team members; assist other departments as needed to ensure job completion.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the ability to operate a manual/standard transmission.
- Experience: Prior experience in wastewater removal or septic service is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Ability to work overtime, on-call, and weekends, as required.
