Water Laboratory Technician

SKG Engineering is looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze drinking water samples for bacteria and other water quality parameters, helping to maintain high standards of water quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine bacteria and quality parameter analyses on drinking water samples.
• Collect, process, and document water samples accurately.
• Maintain and operate laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory safety protocols.
• Record and analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Assist in maintaining NELAC accreditation

Qualifications:

• Some college credits in Microbiology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field; Bachelor’s preferred
• Experience in a microbiology or water quality testing laboratory is preferred.
• Knowledge or ability to learn bacterial and water quality testing methods.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety and quality control procedures.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
