Position Summary

The Water Mitigation Technician assists with water mitigation and restoration services in residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on delivering high-quality service, maintaining jobsite safety, and supporting the team in emergency response situations.

No prior restoration experience is required — we are willing to train motivated, dependable individuals who are eager to learn and grow. Experience in construction, demolition, or related trades is a plus.

This position requires rotating on-call and emergency availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and empathetic customer service on job sites
• Assist with water extraction, demolition, and drying setup
• Inspect and dry out all areas of a home, including crawl space and attics
• Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers)
• Take moisture readings and assist with documentation
• Capture job photos and maintain accurate notes in company software
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Protect unaffected areas of the property
• Assist with daily job documentation and equipment logs
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle
• Follow company procedures and IICRC standards
• Work safely and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Support team members and take direction from Crew Chief or Supervisor

Qualifications

• Restoration or construction experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn water mitigation procedures and industry standards
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, emergency-response environments
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass background check and driving record screening
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift 50 lbs. (up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
• Work on ladders and in elevated or confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces)
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $18.00 – $24.00/hour (based on experience)
