Roles of a Water Quality Expert:
Key Strength : Understanding of treated water chemistry.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Evaluate water contaminations of treated water flowing in the channels, to ensure they meet irrigation and aqua culture standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international water quality standards (NCEC, EPA, EU directives).
- Risk Management: Identify potential water contamination risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Advisory Role: Guide industries, municipalities, and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Water Testing & Analysis
- Collect water samples from Surface water bodies.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and biological analyses.
- Interpret results and identify contaminants or anomalies and reporting.
- Regulatory & Standards Compliance
- Ensure treated water quality complies with standards of such as NCEC & EPA.
- Prepare compliance reports and documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Identify pollution sources (industrial discharge, agricultural runoff, sewage leaks).
- Develop remediation and protection plans for contaminated sites.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of sampling, testing, and monitoring.
- Produce technical reports, dashboards, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
- Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Advise local governments, NGOs, and communities on safe water practices.
- Educate the public on water conservation and pollution prevention.
- Support emergency response in contamination or drought situations.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 15 months
Pay: ﷼15,000.00 - ﷼20,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Riyadh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Understanding of treated water chemistry.: 10 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Transferable Iqama (Required)
