Water Tank Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Water Tank Driver to transport potable and non-potable water safely to oil and gas project sites, camps, drilling locations, and other operational facilities. The successful candidate will ensure timely deliveries while complying with company policies, road safety regulations, and oil and gas industry HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate water tanker vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with traffic regulations and company procedures.
• Transport potable and non-potable water to project sites, drilling locations, camps, and operational facilities.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure the tanker, hoses, pumps, valves, and related equipment are in good working condition.
• Load, transport, and discharge water safely while preventing contamination or spillage.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, fuel consumption reports, and vehicle inspection checklists.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules while coordinating with dispatch and site supervisors.
• Comply with all HSE policies, defensive driving requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Wear and maintain the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, vehicle breakdowns, or delays immediately.
• Keep the vehicle clean and ensure routine maintenance is carried out as scheduled.
• Assist with emergency water supply operations when required.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (applicable to the country of operation, e.g., UAE Licence No. 4).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience driving heavy water tanker vehicles.
• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• High school education or equivalent is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of defensive driving and road safety regulations.
• Familiarity with oil and gas HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Ability to operate tanker pumping systems, hoses, and valves safely.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and under demanding site conditions.
• Physically fit and capable of working in remote locations and varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.

Working Conditions

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required.
• Ability to travel and work at remote oil and gas sites.
• Work may involve exposure to harsh weather conditions and industrial environments.
• Compliance with site-specific induction, medical fitness, and HSE training requirements.
