Water Tanker Operator

Operate and maintain a water tanker truck to support road construction activities by supplying water for dust control, soil compaction, and site maintenance. Ensure safe vehicle operation, timely water delivery, and compliance with project safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate water tanker truck safely on construction sites and public roads.
• Spray water on roads, subgrade, and construction areas for dust suppression and compaction support.
• Fill, transport, and discharge water as directed by site supervisors.
• Inspect vehicle daily, including tires, brakes, lights, hoses, pumps, and spray systems.
• Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.
• Follow traffic laws, site safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and equipment operators.
• Maintain trip logs, fuel records, and daily inspection checklists.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe driving practices at all times.
• Assist with general site duties when required.

Requirements

• Valid heavy vehicle driving license.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating water tankers or heavy trucks in construction projects.
• Experience in road construction projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of tanker operation, spraying systems, and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work long hours and in outdoor conditions.
• Understanding of construction site safety standards.
