Water Treatment Plant Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Plant Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of sewage treatment plants (STP) and reverse osmosis (RO) facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in industrial water and wastewater treatment processes, with strong knowledge of treatment plant equipment, chemical dosing, and troubleshooting.

This role requires a proactive professional capable of managing technical teams, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards, and maximizing the performance of treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operation and maintenance of STP and RO systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of pumps, aeration systems, clarifiers, membranes, and related equipment.
• Diagnose operational issues and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE municipal regulations, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Manage and guide a team of plant operators and technicians to ensure smooth plant performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for spares, consumables, and technical services.
• Prepare daily operation logs, technical reports, and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement immediate corrective measures.

Requirements

STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) / ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) Experience

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in water treatment operations.
• Strong understanding of biological treatment processes (aeration, clarifiers, sludge handling, digesters).
• Familiarity with blowers, diffusers, pumps, and dosing systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting treatment inefficiencies, mechanical breakdowns, and process upsets.

RO (Reverse Osmosis) Plant Experience

• Hands-on expertise in RO operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of membrane cleaning, filter replacement, and high-pressure pump operation.
• Ability to monitor and manage recovery rates, rejection ratios, and water quality parameters.
• Experience with pre-treatment systems (sand filters, carbon filters, softeners, dosing).

General Water Treatment Skills

• Knowledge of chemical dosing (chlorination, antiscalant, pH adjustment).
• Familiarity with industrial piping (HDPE, UPVC, GI), valves, and flow control.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, layout drawings, and O&M manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting of leaks, pressure drops, and flow inconsistencies.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in water treatment plant supervision.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE Driving License required.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams in industrial water environments.
