Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Water Utility Technician to support daily operations at a water treatment facility. This hands-on role is ideal for skilled laborers who enjoy outdoor work, take pride in maintaining critical infrastructure, and work well as part of a team. The ideal candidate is dependable, responsive, and able to follow detailed instructions while adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines. This position plays a key role in supporting water plant technicians and maintaining clean, safe, and functional facilities and grounds.

Schedule & Benefits:

  • 6am-4:30pm Tuesday-Friday
  • Located in Dallas, Texas 75207
  • Weekly Pay at $19.00/hr.

Laborer

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to assist with maintaining safe, clean, and efficient work zones while supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and a commitment to safety and attendance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep equipment and work zones clean, organized, and secure.

  • Maintain good attendance in accordance with the Division Attendance Policy.

  • Communicate effectively with citizens, customers, crew members, supervisors, and managers.

  • Perform manual labor for extended periods of time, often in adverse weather conditions.

  • Work safely on level, slippery, sloping, unstable, and uneven terrain.

  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions and adapt to changing work assignments and conditions.

  • Operate and maintain assigned trucks, hand tools, and other equipment.

  • Complete daily trip tickets and required documentation accurately.

  • Perform minor preventive maintenance on equipment, including adding motor oil, hydraulic fluid, and maintaining proper tire pressure.

  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

  • Ensure work zones are set up and maintained in compliance with current safety rules, guidelines, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and attendance requirements.

  • Experience operating trucks, hand tools, and equipment is preferred.

This position requires reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety while working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
