Waterproofing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Waterproofing Engineer to manage and supervise waterproofing works across various construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of waterproofing systems, hands-on site experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Design

• Review waterproofing drawings, details, specifications, and design requirements
• Prepare and submit method statements, material submittals, and technical datasheets
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for approvals and technical clarifications
• Select appropriate waterproofing systems based on site conditions and project requirements

Execution & Site Supervision

• Supervise waterproofing works for basements, roofs, terraces, wet areas, swimming pools, water tanks, and foundations
• Monitor application of membranes, coatings, sealants, injection systems, and protection layers
• Ensure correct surface preparation, application methods, and curing procedures
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, and finishing teams to prevent damage to completed waterproofing works

Quality Control & Testing

• Implement QA/QC procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Conduct water ponding tests, flood tests, and leak inspections
• Ensure compliance with approved specifications, standards, and manufacturer recommendations
• Identify defects and ensure timely corrective actions

Materials & Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement for approved waterproofing materials
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for technical support and site guidance
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of waterproofing materials on site

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection records, test reports, approvals, and site documentation
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documents

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 3–8 years of UAE experience in waterproofing works
• Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems for pools, wet areas, and substructures
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and QA/QC practices
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
