Job Type: Full-time (all shifts include evenings and weekends)

Summary Overview: We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Wax Specialist / Receptionist to join our team at Opal Gene Skin Studio. This dual-role position combines providing high-quality waxing services with front desk responsibilities, ensuring clients receive exceptional care from arrival to departure.

**Our ideal candidate would be someone who is experienced in both roles but willing to expand into facials in a timely manner after starting.**

Wax Specialist Duties

• Perform professional face and body waxing services in a safe, hygienic manner
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate services
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms and tools
• Ensure client comfort and satisfaction throughout services
• Educate clients on aftercare and skincare routines
• Stay updated on waxing techniques and industry trends

Receptionist Duties

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming environment
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
• Answer phone calls, texts, and emails in a timely, professional manner
• Process payments and handle retail product sales
• Maintain accurate client records and service notes
• Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized

Qualifications

• Valid esthetician or cosmetology license (required for waxing services)
• Previous waxing experience preferred (3 years minimum)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and booking system knowledge
• Professional appearance and positive attitude

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a spa or salon setting
• Sales experience (retail or service upgrades)
• Knowledge of skincare products and treatments
• Teamwork collaboration and support

Work Environment

• Spa setting with treatment rooms and front desk area
• May require evening and weekend availability
• Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
