SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to and works under the general supervision of the Operations Manager who assigns duties and reviews work for effectiveness according to established work standards.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This is a non-supervisory position although lead work and coordination of the work of others including participants is a typical function assigned to this position. Incumbents in this position will provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordination and operation of crew; assists with the training and guidance of participants in specific project areas. Responsible for day-to-day site operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate, organize, and directs site activities in production environment meeting deadlines and minimizing costs.
- Provide training and technical assistance to participants in various project areas.
- Manage inventories by ordering supplies and equipment, purchasing materials, and maintaining cost accounting records.
- Track vehicle maintenance and usage.
- Track and prepare job completion progress reports for project manager. Coordinate weekly work activity schedule ensuring timely completion of project.
- Evaluate job site needs to ensure job is completed on time and to project specifications.
- Perform duties of Crew Leader position as needed.
- Consistently maintain a professional and courteous manner and an ability to work harmoniously with other employees and the general public.
- Maintain regular job attendance and adherence to working hours.
- Accepts and performs other work as assigned.
- Travel to various worksites throughout the service area.
- Possess and maintain any CSC licenses and/or certifications that are required for job.
- Follow agency personnel and safety procedures.
- Drive defensively on all agency business.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required plus three years practical trades experience in the field-related project area or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. One year of lead worker or supervisory experience preferred.
DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:- Knowledge of a specific project area determined by program. Examples may include construction, building.
- Effectively communicate in verbal and written formats.
- Schedule and coordinate work projects.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work procedures.
- Maintain consistency and impartiality in the application of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Use judgment to account for individual and cultural differences. During the course of duties, you may have contact with staff, clients, vendors, general public, and elected officials in order to meet goals and perform job duties.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:- Must pass a criminal history background investigation; however, a conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from this classification.
- Possess and maintain Oregon driver’s license and proof of OR liability Insurance.
- Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certifications if project applicable.

In the performance of the job duties, the employee will predominantly work on construction type sites and periodically work in outside weather conditions, exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. These conditions require constant alertness and/or activity to perform in a safe manner. Noise levels in the construction environment may be loud at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.
