Weatherization Assessor - Sangamon and Macon County

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of buildings, including visual inspections and analysis of existing conditions to identify weatherization needs
• Perform quality control and quality inspection tasks during the installation of weatherization measures to ensure adherence to standards and specifications
• Collect and analyze data related to building performance, air leakage, insulation levels, and other key metrics
• Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related roles within the construction or energy efficiency sectors
• Within one year of joining the Weatherization program team, the Weatherization Assessor will attend and pass DCEO training program TCP.
• Familiarity with construction site processes, safety standards, and contract management practices
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating building systems and identifying appropriate weatherization solutions
• Previous work on construction projects involving insulation, sealing, or energy upgrades is highly desirable. Join us in making a difference by helping communities improve their energy efficiency! Pay: $40,657.00 - $50,821.00 per year
