Web and Development Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Web Development Specialist with strong technical proficiency in WordPress and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performing, secure, and scalable websites that support NewTechWood’s digital and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Development and Maintenance -

• Develop, customize, and maintain company websites using WordPress (themes, plugins, integrations).
• Implement programming solutions with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Apply modern frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, ReactJS, or VueJS when appropriate.
• Ensure websites are responsive, secure, and optimized for speed, performance, and reliability.
• Implement and maintain version control and collaborative workflows using Git/GitHub.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems across browsers and devices

Design and Creative Projects:

• Integrate websites with third-party tools and APIs (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, tracking tools, forms).
• Configure and maintain hosting environments, DNS, SSL certificates, and related infrastructure in coordination with IT or vendors.
• Follow best practices for security, data integrity, and backup/restore procedures.

Marketing and Optimization:

• Apply SEO best practices (technical SEO, site structure, meta implementation, page speed) to improve website visibility and search performance.
• Support marketing funnels by implementing tracking pixels, tags, events, and conversions.
• Track, analyze, and report website performance using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to implement A/B tests, page variations, and technical improvements that enhance user experience and conversion rates (based on provided content and layouts).

Project & Workflow Management

• Manage multiple web development projects simultaneously, including new builds, updates, and technical improvements.
• Use project management platforms such as Monday.com or NetSuite to plan, track, and deliver projects on time.
• Collaborate across departments (marketing, sales, operations) to ensure web solutions align with company goals and requirements.
• Provide technical input on digital initiatives, feasibility, timelines, and resource needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web development.
• Strong experience with WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and
• integrations.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, plus familiarity with frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, ReactJS, or VueJS.
• Experience with version control (Git/GitHub) and collaborative development workflows.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO, website performance optimization, and web security best practices.
• Experience working with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Results-oriented, with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability of web solutions.
• Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
• Performs related duties as required in support of Marketing team activities.

Location: On-site. After a 3-month probation period, employees are eligible to work remotely one day per week.
