Web Content Manager

Responsibilities:

• Content/Blog Management – Serve as project manager on 15+ content writing projects, including managing writers, editing content, and spearheading content strategy.
• Web Management – Serve as project manager on 30+ web design projects, including gathering and organizing content assets, organizing site architectures, setting up WordPress files, and cataloging site redirects. Work directly with clients to help identify site goals, content structure, and execution plan. Collaborate closely with design, development, and internet marketing teams.
• Writing/Editing – Write and edit content, including blogs, law firm practice pages, press releases, newsletters, and social media posts for law firm clients. Edit articles, guest blogs, forum articles, Q&A answers, and other content on behalf of clients.
• Consulting – Consult directly with clients regarding best practices for content, blogging, usability, and site architecture. Become their trusted source for information and getting things done.
• Content Audits – Perform content audits and quality control on content aspects of new website designs.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or similar
• 3+ years writing and editing for the web
• 3+ years of project management experience
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills (you’ll take a writing/editing test)
• Comfortable leading client calls, pitching ideas, and answering questions
• Basic WordPress proficiency
• Ability to juggle multiple projects
• Extreme attention to detail
• Highly flexible and able to pivot quickly
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Understanding of SEO basics

• Law degree or legal background = big plus
• You’ve worked with law firms before
• You’re fluent in WordPress quirks
• Your friends would describe you as organized
• You’re comfortable and confident handling a random “we need to meet today” phone call with a client with no context
• You can explain SEO without sounding like a robot or a conspiracy theorist
• You thrive in a “let’s figure this out” type of environment
• You have agency experience and, therefore, possess chaotic-good energy
• You secretly judge the grammar in your birthday cards
