Web Designer for Promotions Agency

Vesey Promotions Agency is seeking a talented and creative Project-Based Website Designer to join our team. This is a freelance, remote position with an hourly rate of $25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and examples of work. The work will be on an as-needed, project-by-project basis for larger projects, in addition to hourly tasks for website updates for current clients.

Vesey Agency is a dynamic agency with a focus on clients in the comedy, music, publishing, and film industries. Our work is creative and requires a genuine passion and understanding of these fields. We need a designer who not only has the technical skills but also a firm grasp of the unique aesthetics and needs of these creative communities, and how they are promoted to sell tickets, grow audiences, and build exciting personal brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch new websites primarily on Squarespace, but if you have knowledge of Wix and WordPress, that would be a plus!
• Apply basic coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to customize and enhance website designs when needed.
• Maintain excellent communication with our team and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with our team and clients to understand project requirements and design goals.
• Revamp and update existing websites to improve functionality and aesthetics.
• Ensure all designs are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for various devices.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Qualifications

• A strong understanding of and passion for the stand-up comedy, music, and film industries.
• Proven experience in website design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Expertise in Squarespace, Wix, and WordPress.
• Proficiency in basic front-end coding (HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript) for custom design.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
• A keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of modern web design principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
