Web Designer/Developer

Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer/Developer to join our dynamic digital team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft engaging, user-friendly websites and digital experiences that align with brand goals and user needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both web design and development, with expertise in a wide range of tools and technologies including Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems like WordPress and Drupal. You will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs, implementing responsive layouts, optimizing websites for usability and accessibility, and maintaining digital assets to ensure high performance across devices.

Duties

• Design and develop visually appealing websites using responsive web design principles to ensure optimal performance on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups utilizing tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, or InVision to visualize concepts and user flows.
• Implement front-end development using HTML, CSS (including SCSS/Less), JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular, and Bootstrap to build interactive interfaces.
• Develop custom functionalities with PHP, Node.js, or other server-side technologies; manage databases using MySQL or SQL.
• Enhance website usability by applying UX/UI best practices, ensuring web accessibility standards are met.
• Optimize websites for SEO using techniques like keyword integration, site architecture improvements, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 360.
• Maintain existing websites through regular updates, troubleshooting issues, performing website maintenance tasks, and ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with content creators to integrate multimedia elements including motion graphics created with Adobe After Effects or Adobe Animate.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights for continuous improvement of digital interfaces.
• Manage content updates via CMS platforms such as WordPress or Drupal; utilize content management tools like SharePoint or Mailchimp for marketing campaigns.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and trends to innovate design solutions that enhance user engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital design and web development with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive websites and UI/UX projects.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Less), JavaScript (React, Angular), AJAX, Bootstrap; familiarity with back-end languages like PHP or Node.js is a plus.
• Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal; knowledge of website maintenance best practices.
• Strong skills in wireframing and prototyping tools including Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, InVision.
• Knowledge of web analytics platforms like Google Analytics (including 360 suite) to interpret data for optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with usability principles, web accessibility standards (WCAG), information architecture, typography, layout design, and visual storytelling.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git; understanding of Agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A degree in Web Design & Development, Graphic Design or related field is preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by a robust portfolio demonstrating relevant skills.
