As our Web Developer, you’ll build, maintain, and optimize the digital systems that power our ecommerce experience, customer data flow, and internal reporting. You’ll support a modern tech stack spanning Ruby, Python, Rust, HTML5, and JavaScript while shaping the functionality and performance of our Shopify ecosystem, custom plugins, and AWS hosted applications.
This role blends hands-on development and systems management with cross-team collaboration, ensuring our website remains fast, reliable, and optimized. You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing to implement updates that support accurate product information, SEO improvements, and smooth launch execution while enhancing data clarity across systems.
Beyond core development, you’ll build better integrations, refine user journeys, strengthen reporting, and continuously improve performance, stability, and scalability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop features, integrations, and custom plugins for Shopify while ensuring smooth data flow across ecommerce, inventory, and accounting systems
- Research and integrate new ecommerce plugins to optimize customer experience and operational efficiency
- Write and maintain code in Ruby, Python, Rust, HTML5, and JavaScript for web features, backend services, and UI improvements
- Design, build, and test HTTP API endpoints that support internal workflows and cross-platform connectivity
- Deploy and maintain AWS hosted applications with a focus on reliability and scalability
- Implement and test SEO recommendations to improve search visibility and site performance
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on site updates including copy, imagery, SEO adjustments, pricing, stock status, and promotions
- Support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and new feature rollouts through technical implementation, structured testing and system validation
- Ensure customer and sales data remains accurate across platforms with reliable reporting while developing in-depth data segments
- Build dashboards, reports, and automations that support sales, operations and leadership decision-making
- Monitor analytics, site performance, and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement
- Document workflows, integrations, and system processes to support cross-department coordination and consistency
Who You Are
- Experienced in Ruby, Python, Rust, HTML5, and JavaScript with a strong understanding of modern development practices
- Skilled in Shopify development including theme work, app creation, and API integrations
- Comfortable designing, testing, and maintaining REST style APIs
- Familiar with AWS hosted environments and scalable backend architectures
- Knowledgeable in SEO best practices and technical optimization strategies, including metadata structure, schema markup, page performance improvements, crawlability, indexation, and ongoing testing to raise rankings and organic traffic
- Able to manage data accuracy across ecommerce, inventory, and accounting platforms
- Analytical with experience monitoring performance metrics and supporting data driven decisions
- Organized with strong documentation habits and clear communication skills
- Independent, accountable, and comfortable owning multiple initiatives in a small-team environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
