Web Developer

oCode Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building modern, responsive, and high-performing web solutions, with a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesWeb Development

• Design and develop visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites and web applications.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to modern UI/UX standards.

Front-End Development

• Build intuitive and interactive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end frameworks/libraries.
• Follow best practices for accessibility, usability, and performance.

Back-End Development

• Develop server-side logic, APIs, and databases using technologies such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Node.js.
• Integrate data from various sources and ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end systems.

Database Management

• Design, optimize, and maintain databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for efficient data handling.
• Ensure structured, secure, and scalable data architecture.

Performance Optimization

• Monitor and enhance application speed, scalability, and overall performance across multiple devices and networks.

Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues in web applications.
• Work closely with the QA team to ensure stable, high-quality releases.

Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with designers, UI/UX teams, and product managers to define requirements and deliver features on time.
• Provide technical insights during planning and implementation phases.

Testing

• Conduct thorough functionality, usability, and performance testing before deployment.

Security

• Implement best practices to safeguard web applications from vulnerabilities and ensure data protection.

Continuous Learning

• Stay updated with new frameworks, tools, and industry trends.
• Continuously refine development processes and expand technical expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio of web projects.
• Solid expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with back-end technologies such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Node.js.
• Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of Git and modern deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and mobile-first development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Passion for innovation and staying current with emerging web technologies.
