Web Developer Intern

Job Summary:

The Web Developer Intern will support McCoin’s technology and product teams in developing, testing, improving, and documenting web-based interfaces, internal dashboards, landing pages, user flows, and platform components.

This role is suitable for a junior developer or recent graduate with an interest in frontend development, web applications, UI implementation, responsive design, and product-oriented development.

The intern will work under supervision and will not independently deploy critical production changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and improving web pages, user interfaces, and frontend components.
  • Support the development of responsive layouts for desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Work with the Product and Design teams to implement UI improvements and user journey updates.
  • Assist in testing web forms, onboarding flows, dashboard components, and platform pages.
  • Support bug fixing, UI adjustments, and frontend performance improvements.
  • Help maintain clean, readable, and documented code.
  • Assist with integration of frontend components with APIs under supervision.
  • Support QA and UAT activities before feature release.
  • Document technical tasks, implementation notes, and testing results.
  • Follow McCoin’s internal development, security, compliance, and change management procedures.
  • Escalate bugs, inconsistencies, or user experience issues to the Technology Lead.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of web development technologies, including:
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript, Responsive design principles
  • Familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework or library, such as:
  • React, Next.js, Vue.js, Angular
  • Basic understanding of APIs and how frontend applications communicate with backend systems.
  • Familiarity with Git and basic development workflows.
  • Ability to test web pages across browsers and screen sizes.
  • Good written English and ability to document tasks clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in a structured, regulated environment.

Skills & Tools

  • Basic experience with TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, Material UI, or similar UI frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of form validation, authentication flows, dashboards, and user account interfaces.
  • Experience with Figma or ability to read design files.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, web performance, accessibility, and browser testing.
  • Interest in fintech, crypto, virtual assets, trading platforms, or financial technology products.
  • Experience with Jira, Notion, Trello, or other task management tools

Compensations and benefits:

  • Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays from 9AM to 5PM
  • Duration: 3-6 months (with potential full-time conversion based on performance)
  • Stipend: To be discussed
